Seam-free heterogeneous vinyl installation with Invisiweld

Invisiweld is IVC’s installation technology that allows our Heterogeneous Vinyl floors, Such as Velvetex, Texas New, and Tempo to be installed over large areas with a nearly invisible seam.

Using a chemical bond, as opposed to a PVC weld rod, Invisiweld allows all compact and acoustic heterogeneous sheet vinyl floors available from Kennedy Floorings to be installed with a near-invisible seam. Fast, clean and easy to use, Invisiweld comes with these great vinyl installation advantages:

  • Very high seam tensile strength far exceeding European and North American norms
  • Faster installation
  • Watertight seam
  • Near-invisible look
  • Clean, mess-free installation

Leaving a strong, seamless and watertight join, Invisiweld is the better way to install IVC Heterogeneous Vinyl.

Type A

Cold-Welding Liquid For Watertight Sealing of Closely Cut Seams in PVC Sheet Vinyl.

For use in heterogeneous sheet vinyl (non-textile backed) such as Tempo.

Prevents lifting up of the seam edgers. The metal needle in the tubes nozzle enables an optimal welding of the PVC cross-section.

Sufficient for approximately 200' (60m).

Tube Size 132g

Type C

Cold-Welding Liquid For Repair Work.

Used for watertight closing of gaps between 0.3mm - 4mm in size in PVC-floor covering repair work.

Can we used with non-textile and textile backed heterogeneous sheet vinyl.

Tube Size 132g

Type T

Cold-Welding Liquid for Textile Backed PVC Sheet Vinyl

For use in heterogeneous textile backed sheet vinyl such as Velvetex & Texas New.

Prevents lifting up of the seam edgers. The specially designed T-shaped metal nozzle enables optimal welding of the PVC cross-section while preventing absorption of the cold-welding liquid of the textile backing.

Sufficient for approximately 23' (7m).

Tube Size 44g

Invisiweld Starterbox

This box contains everything you need to start working with invisiweld cold weld products.

Step 1:

Line up the seams of the vinyl and make the necessary cut, ensuring a tight fitting seam.

Step 2:

Line up and lay down the seam of the vinyl that was just cut ensuring a tight seam between the two pieces of vinyl.

Step 3:

Adhere the masking tape over the center of the seam.

Step 4:

Use the roller to ensure the masking tape is fully adhered to the sheet vinyl.

Step 5:

Using the cutting tool, cut the masking tape following the seam of the sheet vinyl.

Step 6a:

Gently insert the tip of the cold weld tube into the seam of the vinyl at a 30-45o angle, and run it along the seam applying constant pressure to ensure an even application of the paste.

Step 6b additional information:

Type A: The needle tip allows the cold weld to penetrate the seam of the vinyl, ensuring that the needle is adequately within the seam is necessary to ensure the cold weld paste penetrates the entire seam.

Type T: The "T" nozzle needs to the oriented up, with the bottom portion of the nozzle inserted into the seam, and the wick of the nozzle making contact with the top of the masking tape.

Type C: If the seam is not tight, use the masking tape to only cover the vinyl, and then apply the welding paste. Type C is meant for repairs with seams between 1mm and 4mm.

.

Step 7:

Allow the cold weld to cure for 6 hours, after which the masking tape can be removed.

Step 8:

Enjoy the beautiful but nearly imperceptible seam.
